Conferencing and communing at Komune

Thursday 29th September

Back to serious conference business so we spent the morning considering the concept of 'Dancing on the edge of discovery'- the title of my talk. Then we created our own personal Get-a-life trees to enrich our lives. Finally we discussed social media and technology: something that we are all grappling with.

For some time out and relaxation we headed for Komune Beach resort for an afternoon of lolling by the pool. It has a beautiful blue pool which overlooks a black sand surf Beach.  So you can prop yourself on some tiled seats in the pool and spend  time watching the surfers.

There was some hysteria when some of us tried to climb onto some neon blow up rings: not too elegantly I have to say!!

After a few hours of lying by the pool on huge day beds, experimenting with some interesting cocktails, reading our books and doing very little,  we got dressed and made our way to the outdoor pavilion for dinner.....and more cocktails.

The food was very fresh and delicious.

Feeling revived we were happy to return to Kamandalu for a good night's sleep

Your chilled out correspondent

Dianne

PS I have included some photos of the gardens, statues and spaces at Kamandalu: very beautiful.
